AREAS OF EXPERIENCE

Therapies & Treatments

Anxiety Disorders

Occasional anxiety is an expected part of life. You might feel anxious when faced with a problem at work, before taking a test, or before making an important decision. But anxiety disorders involve more than temporary worry or fear. We help you manage your anxiety, so you can get back to your daily activities such as job performance, school work, and relationships.

Depression

Depression is a common but serious mood disorder that can affect how you feel, think, and handle daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working. No two people are affected the same way by depression and there is no “one-size-fits-all“ for treatment.

Coping Skills

Your Therapist isn’t with you 24/7, but the skills you develop during your counseling sessions are. Coping skills help you tolerate, minimize, and deal with stressful situations in life.

How Do You Benefit

Why Therapy

Friends and family can be great sources of support. However, in some cases, they can be quick to give advice and often dive right into “fix-it mode.” Additionally, disclosing vulnerable information can often result in feeling judged by the listening party. Avoid putting yourself in a position where you’re judged for something you’re going through.

Regardless of the problem, stressor, or hardship you may be experiencing, everyone can benefit from seeing a therapist. Therapy can help you overcome current stressors and provide you with the skills to effectively manage in the future.

Take Control Of Your Mental Health

Mental illnesses are common in the United States. Nearly one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness (51.5 million in 2019). Mental illnesses include many different conditions that vary in degree of severity, ranging from mild to moderate to severe. (source: NIMH)
